Using Abbreviations

Location: Program Preferences Window

To use an abbreviation, simply type it as you would type any element. Use the F3 key (or the options on the Program Preferences Window) to cycle through the three abbreviation recognition modes: Normal recognition, Amino Acid (Extended) recognition, and No Recognition. The MWT_ABBR.DAT file contains the default abbreviations included with the program. Besides using the default abbreviations, you can edit the abbreviations to add your own. Lastly, you can expand the abbreviations into their elemental compositions.
